Ann Arbor Guitar Trio presents a program of music from their new record as well as some as-yet-unrecorded pieces. Hear the trio's original compositions as well as their take on works by Janelle Reichman, Malcolm Dean, George Gershwin, The Beach Boys, Lou Reed, and Ellen Rowe. Yeah, for real. The A2G3 is the only ensemble putting Prof. Rowe on the same bill as Brian Wilson!
This event is free and open to all ages. It will be held in the Clara Stanton Jones Friends Auditorium.

Adam Kahana and Kenji Lee are both students at the University of Michigan pursuing degress in Jazz Studies. They strive to develop their own sound in music and discover new sonic possibilities. The instrumentation is uncommon for a duo — Adam studies guitar and Kenji studies tenor saxophone — which allows for new and often unexpected adventures.
Adam and Kenji will be performing as part of UMMA’s Pop Up Music Series.

Adam Kahana will be performing at the Detroit Jazz Festival as part of the University of Michigan Jazz Ensemble, honoring the late, great Professor Geri Allen. Adam will also lead and conduct a dectet performing his arrangement of Professor Allen's "Feed the Fire." In addition, Adam will play guitar in Molly Radosevich's jazz combo performing Professor Allen's "Drummer Song."

Join the Ann Arbor Guitar Trio for a performance of a commissioned piece by composer Josh Harlow honoring the storied legacy of the Ypsilanti Underwear Factory. The Ann Arbor Guitar Trio will also perform original arrangements of pieces that were written during the time of the heyday of the Ypsilanti Underwear Factory -- the start of the 20th century.
